Wild Designs Jewellery Diploma (WDJ PMC Dip) from PMC Designs

The diploma course is designed for those who which to progress to making jewellery on a more professional basis using silver precious metal clay. The course also includes designing and finishing techniques.

Although there are criteria that you have to follow within this jewellery making Diploma course, you are able to incorporate your own design ideas.

The course consists of 4 levels. On completion of each level a certificate will be issued to confirm that the course has been completed and the required level of competence has been achieved.

Each workshop includes clay needed, use of tools, assessment, course notes and certificate on completion/passing relevant level.

Each level can be completed consecutively or one or two days at a time over a period of time to fit in to your requirements.
Please note: this course is designed so that each project can be finished during the workshop. Should, for any reason, extra time be needed to complete a project this can be arranged.

Although all levels must be completed to obtain the Jewellery Making Diploma (WDJ PMC Dip), on achieving each level you will gain a certificate of achievement. Each diploma workshop is £116 each. This can be paid on an individual basis or together for each level. 50% deposit secures a workshop and balance can be paid on the day.


Level 1 - See More Details (2 days - suitable for those with no previous experience) £232

During the level 1 you will make at least 2 pendants , 2 pairs of earrings and a ring, plus using fine silver findings and decorative stone.

The projects within this level also include torch firing and kiln firing.

Attainment : Level 1 - Certificate of Achievement

 

Level 2 - See More Details (3 days - Level 1 certificate needed) £348

During the level 2 you will make at least one pendant, 2 pair of earrings and two rings, plus using silver wire and decorative stones
In this level one pendant you make will be incorporating dichroic glass, and dry carving.

The projects within this level encompass design techniques.

Attainment : Level 2- Certificate of Achievement

 

Level 3 - See More Details(4 days - Level 1 and 2 certificates needed) £464

During level 3 you will make at least 1 bail, 2 clasp ends, 2 pendants and 1 ring, plus using silver wire, incorporating a cabochon , 1 unsupported hollowform 'bead' pendant, and a pair of earrings with sheet PMC.

The projects within this level encompass using design techniques.

Attainment : Level 3- Certificate of Achievement

 

Level 4 - See More Details(3 days - level 1, 2 and 3 certificates needed.) £348

During level 4 you will make 2 pendants and create a chain bracelet with PMC and hot enamelling.

This will also include your own project piece of jewellery for this final assessment, with or without a dichroic cabachon.

The projects within this level encompass using design techniques.

Attainment : Level 4 - WDJ Diploma

If you have already completed the Introduction to Silver Clay workshop and then decide you want to go on to do the diploma, you will get credited for part of Level 1.
If you have done one of our 'specialised' workshops these will be credited towards achieving the relevant level 2.
If you have completed the fingerprint workshops, you will be able to obtain credits toward the diploma.
If you have achieved another silver clay workshop anywhere else, please contact us about any credit that maybe relevant.
